Naperville is IndieBound

Independent businesses in Naperville, IL are getting together to raise awareness about their impact on the community, and they’re using IndieBound to do it.

IndieBound Naperville began in October, and now has 50 member businesses. More businesses show up for every meeting. Anderson’s Bookshop spearheaded the group, giving IndieBound posters and decals to other local indies. Now IndieBusiness signs are all over downtown Naperville!

Naperville shoppers are getting the message that shopping locally keeps the community strong, particularly during the recent holiday season. Customers could buy 10 items from any of the 50 member stores, and turn in their receipts to enter a prize drawing. Prizes, of course, were donated from the great indie businesses of Naperville.

Anderson's

Anderson's -- you bet! What a gem for us DuPage County booklovers. We will continue to favor them over the chain giant that's only a couple blocks away...

small book stores offer a nice personal touch

I regularly visit my local book store here in New York. The owners Gill and Greg have been running the store much longer than I have been living in the big apple.
