Tedone Latticini

A recent profile in the New York Times' One in 8 Million feature is a reminder of one thing independent businesses bring to their communities and their customers: history and personality.

Tedone Latticini in Williamsburg, Brooklyn has been a family business since 1924. Owner Georgiana DePalma Tedone lives behind the shop---in fact, she's lived behind the shop for 75 years, working since she was 16. She sells homemade sausage, fresh foods, and makes her own mozzarella every morning.

See more pictures and hear from Georgiana herself here.

Mozzarella

I think I'm going to take a trip to NY just for this mozzarella! What an amazing woman! Got lasagna? Here's an article that was in the NY Times.
