Description
After losing her parents, young Mary Lennox is sent from India to live in her uncle's gloomy mansion on the wild English moors. She is lonely and has no one to play with, but one day she learns of a secret garden somewhere in the grounds that no one is allowed to enter. Then Mary uncovers an old key in a flowerbed - and a gust of magic leads her to the hidden door. Slowly she turns the key and enters a world she could never have imagined. With a heartwarming introduction by Sophie Dahl, The Secret Garden is one of the twenty best-loved classic stories being launched in the Puffin Classics series in March 2015.

About the Author
Frances Hodgson Burnett was a born storyteller. Even as a young child, her greatest pleasure was in making up stories and acting them out, using her dolls as characters. She wrote over forty books, including the classic A Little Princess, also illustrated by Tasha Tudor.

Robin and Chris Lawrie wrote the Ridge Riders books together, and Robin illustrated them. Their inspiration for these books is their son. They wanted to write books that he would find interesting. Many of the Ridge Riders books are based on adventures he and his friends had while biking. Robin and Chris live in England, and will soon be moving to a big, old house that is also home to sixty bats.

Sophie Dahl began her career as a model, but cooking has always been her first love. She was contributing editor for Men's Vogue for three years and now works for, among others, both the U.K. and U.S. editions of Vogue, the Guardian, Waitrose Food Illustrated, and The Times. After an eight-year sojourn in New York, Sophie now lives in London.
