Gale Gand is founding pastry chef and partner at the internationally acclaimed Tru restaurant in Chicago. She has won numerous James Beard Awards and published award-winning cookbooks, including Just a Bite and Short and Sweet. She was also the host of Sweet Dreams, the daily baking show on J216Food Network and the Cooking Channel.

Ben Fink received his art education at the University of Memphis and Memphis college of Art. A freelance photographer since 1986, he has photographed for magazines such as "Saveur, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit", and" Scientific American". He lives in New York.

Christie Matheson is the author and illustrator of the acclaimed Tap the Magic Tree. She stargazes and lives with her family in San Francisco and New England.
