Description
Jacob's Hands is the product of the friendship between Aldous Huxley and Christopher Isherwood, who were among the many European artists drawn to the U.S. in the 1930s, when war threatened Europe. The manuscript was largely forgotten and presumed destroyed when Huxley's house burned in 1961. Actress Sharon Stone began the search for it when she read about the manuscript in Isherwood's Diaries. It was found, typed on onion skin paper, in a trunk on the Huxley's estate. Rescued from obscurity, it is at last being made into a film by Melissa Joan Hart.

Jacob is a shy ranch hand in the Mojave Desert during the 1920s. He learns suddenly that his touch can heal. The ranch owner's handicapped daughter, Sharon, whom Jacob loves, convinces him to heal her, but she betrays him, launching the chain of events in which his gift is soon exploited. Jacob's Hands is an enchanting tale of paranormal powers, love, money and redemption, spun by two master storytellers.
