A first experience with snow
Cat and Mouse have gone out to play together in the green meadow every day since they became friends. Then one morning they find that the green meadow is gone! The two friends set off in search of it, but everywhere they look the ground is white -- covered with snow-- and soon they are too! Cat and Mouse quickly discover that this white world has new kinds of fun to offer, and that the green meadow hasnt disappeared at all -- it's just become the white meadow for a while. In the fourth of his beguiling Cat and Mouse books, Tomek Bogacki's simple text and delightful pictures once again capture the innocence of being a child in the ever-changing natural world, in which each new day brings both surprises and pleasures.
Tomek Bogacki's previous books for young readers include I Hate You! I Like You! and The Story of a Blue Bird, as well as the three Cat and Mouse books. A painter, sculptor, and internationally known illustrator of children's books, he was born in Poland and attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He now lives in New York City.
