Once upon a time...
...in a world far removed from the days when fairy tales were new, five bestselling authors spin versions that take the classic stories into a new dimension. You'll recognize Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and other enduring characters, but they'll exist in realms beyond your imagination, where the familiar is transformed into the extraordinary and otherworldly.

About the Author
J. D. Robb is the pseudonym for a number-one New York Times bestselling author of more than two hundred novels, including the futuristic suspense In Death series. There are more than four hundred million copies of her books in print.

Mary lives in Southern Maryland within sight of the Chesapeake Bay, an hour from Washington DC, where she was born and lived a good part of her life. When not distracted by the beach or the history of the area Mary spends her time writing her own stories of history and adventure. Her next book for Bantam, Her Wildest Fantasy, is in the works now.

ELAINE FOX is head of the Department of Psychology and Centre for Brain Science at the University of Essex, where she runs a department of thirty-six psychologists and 600 students. There, her work incorporates cognitive psychology, as well as neuroimaging and genetics, in a bid to unravel the complexities of fear and optimism. Published in the leading scientific journals, her work has also been discussed in a wide range of outlets, including Nature, Science, New Scientist, The Economist, The New York Times and The Guardian, as well as countless other newspaper, TV and radio outlets around the world.
