Description
In the early 1920s in rural Ireland, Brendan and Norah Kelly live quietly with their five young children in a cottage in Glendarrig, County Galway. Their happy family life is suddenly cut short when Norah tragically dies. The children are temporarily placed with her elderly aunt, Bridgie, while Brendan seeks a new wife. However, when he does remarry he announces that he will keep the eldest son, but the four youngest must go to an orphanage. He refuses to give a reason. Bridgie cannot allow this to happen and struggles to find homes for them.

Why did Brendan abandon his children? Will the children ever find out why they were discarded?

The story of Norah's Children tugs at our hearts and holds us in its spell until the final, moving, chapter.
