About the Author
SANDRA CISNEROS is the highly acclaimed author of many books, including The House on Mango Street and Woman Hollering Creek and Other Stories.

Elena Poniatowska is writer, renowned journalist, and professor. Her journalism and writing explore and grapple with events; in addition, she is a biographer and translator, and the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including a Guggenheim Fellowship and an Emeritus Fellowship from Mexico's National Council of Culture and Arts.

Born and raised in Mexico City, Liliana Valenzuela is an adopted Chicana. She's received awards for her poetry from the University of California, Irvine, and from the Austin Poetry Society. Valenzuela is the author of CODEX OF JOURNEYS: BENDITO CAMINO (Mouthfeel Press, 2013), and the acclaimed translator of works by Sandra Cisneros, Julia Alvarez, Denise Chavez, Alex Espinoza and many others.
