Colonel Harry G. Summers, Jr. (Ret.), is a syndicated columnist for the Los Angeles Times. He frequently appeared as a television commentator during the Gulf War and is the author of On Strategy: A Critical Analysis of the Vietnam War and On Strategy II: A Critical Analysis of the Gulf War. He lives in Bowie, Maryland.
