Description

Showcasing Rebecca Elliott's unique and highly acclaimed illustrative style, this story is a fun and poignant warning of what the future might hold if we neglect our duty to care for the environment

In a world that has been destroyed by human carelessness, a little boy named Luka discovers the last tiger. But where did he come from? Throughout their adventures, Luka and the tiger become the best of friends. Then one day, the tiger is captured and put on display in a horrible cage. To save both the tiger and the world, boy and tiger must band together to show the people a more natural way of living, leading to a better, more sustainable future for all. With striking illustrations crafted in ink line and collage, this thoughtful yet uplifting picture book leaves a lasting impact.

"Elliott's (Sometimes) scraggly drawings handily conjure an industrial world that's grim without being oppressively bleak." — Publishers Weekly

"I'm super impressed with how concisely and cleverly the message of this tale is laid out...The text is so tight and well done, and the art was absolutely gorgeous to my adult eye while also being engaging on a kid level." — Julia's Bookbag.com
