Legends: Battles and Quests by Anthony Horowitz

Don't mess with the gods. And if they mess with you? Run like hell . . .

Including King Arthur, The Minotaur, Inca legends and more

There was a time when monsters and dragons roamed the earth and the gods walked among us. A time of blood, swords and furious battles. A time of legends, heroes, darkness and death . . .

About the Author
One of the UK s most prolific and successful writers, ANTHONY HOROWITZ may have committed more (fictional) murders than any other living author. His most recent Sherlock Holmes novel, "Moriarty", is already an industry sensation; its predecessor, "The House of Silk", has sold over 450,000 copies worldwide in more than 35 countries. His bestselling Alex Rider series for Young Adults has sold more than 19 million copies worldwide. As a TV screenwriter he created both "Midsomer Murders" and the BAFTA-winning "Foyle s War", both of which were featured on PBS's "Masterpiece Mystery"; other TV work includes "Poirot" and the widely acclaimed mini-series "Collision and Injustice". Anthony regularly contributes to a wide variety of national newspapers and magazines, and in 2014 he was awarded an OBE for his services to literature. He lives in London.

Praise For Legends

Horn BookUnder Horowitz's hand, the tales from around the world have a casual tone, accessible language, dry humor, and just enough gore to keep reluctant readers going. Black-and-white illustrations add  some excitement and visual interest. San Francisco Book ReviewBoth children and adults will enjoy these fast-paced stories, and the tales of swords, battles, and clever escapes will keep even the most book-phobic kid interested through the end. It's one of those books with the kind of passion that reminds us of why we loved reading in the first place. . . . This book is well-paired with its twin release Legends: Beasts and Monsters
