Rebecca Pierre has lived on Oak Island since 1992. She is a freelance writer working for a variety of publications and she is also a poet and artist.

 

Kate Walsh has lived in Surf City on Topsail Island for 13 years. A former television producer, she is a freelance writer and is currently pursuing her master of fine arts degree in creative nonfiction.
