About the Author
Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875), Danish author and poet, wrote numerous poems, plays, stories and travel essays, but is best known for his fairy tales. He wrote over one hundred and fifty, published in numerous collections during his life, and many still in print today.

JOEL STEWART has illustrated the work of authors such as Malachy Doyle, Julia Donaldson, and Roald Dahl, as well as classics by Hans Christian Andersen and Lewis Carroll, and stories of his own. He lives in London, England.
