About the Author

Dorothy Hinshaw Patent has written more than one hundred books for young readers. She received a Ph.D. in zoology from the University of California, Berkeley. Dorothy lives in Missoula, Montana, a good place for someone who loves nature, with her husband. Kendahl Jan Jubb is a fine artist whose work is exhibited throughout the world. Her beautiful illustrations can also be found in the other books in this series with Dorothy Hinshaw Patent. Kendahl lives in Missoula, Montana, with her husband.
