Over sixty beloved nursery rhymes all dressed up in a fresh new look.
"Little Miss Muffet,
sat on her tuffet,
eating her curds and whey . . ."
A princess who has lost her shoe. Little Boy Blue. A teeny-tiny spider. Jack Spratt. A fiddling cat . . .
Nursery rhymes—with their lyrical, playful verse—introduce young children to the rhythms of language. In this delightful collection, favorite classics are rediscovered in Linda Bronson’s three-dimensional pictures. So share a comfy chair and recite along as funny characters in all shapes and sizes leap from the pages right into the imagination.
Linda Bronson is the author and illustrator of two previous picture books--The Circus Alphabet and Sleigh Bells and Snowflakes: A Celebration of Christmas--both of which feature her eye-catching three-dimensional artwork. Ms. Bronson especially enjoyed creating the image for “Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary,” which has always been her very favorite nursery rhyme. Also the illustrator of Teatime with Emma Buttersnap among other books, she lives with her husband, Charlie, in Hadlyme, Connecticut.
