About the Author
Laura Numeroff is the author of many books for young readers in addition to the If You Give... series, including The Chicken Sisters and Laura Numeroff's 10-Step Guide to Living with Your Monster. She lives in Los Angeles, CA where she loves to ride horses, read biographies, and play with her pets. A portion of her royalties will be donated to First Book, a national nonprofit organization that promotes children s literacy.

Nate Evans wanted to be a secret agent, a firefighter, or a magician when he was a kid. But he also loved to read and write. Now he has thirty-five children's books to his credit, including the New York Times bestsellers Ponyella and The Jellybeans and the Big Dance, both cowritten with Laura Numeroff, and the series Humpty Dumpty Jr: Hardboiled Detective, an IndieBound "Inspired Recommendation for Kids." He also illustrated Laura Numeroff's 10-step Guide to Living With Your Monster, among others.

Helen Lester and Lynn Munsinger have been together through thick and thin since first publishing The Wizard, the Fairy, and the Magic Chicken in 1983. They have collaborated on the hilarious Tacky the Penguin series and many other wildly funny and popular titles, including the award-winning Hooway for Wodney Wat. Helen Lester is a full-time writer who makes her home in Pawling, New York, and Lynn Munsinger is a full-time illustrator living in Massachusetts.
