Description
It's autumn and time for Groundhog to sleep until Groundhog Day, but he cannot fall asleep. Maybe a little walk will make him sleepy. When he steps outside his burrow, he's in for some surprises. After all his nocturnal wanderings, will Groundhog be able to wake up for his big day?

About the Author
Judy Cox was born in San Francisco. She is the oldest of five children and enjoyed telling stories from an early age. She is a reading teacher at a small rural school and is inspired to write children's books by her own love of good literature, by raising her son, and by teaching her students.

Paul Meisel has illustrated many books for children, including Why Are the Ice Caps Melting?, Energy Makes Things Happen, and What Happens to Our Trash? in the Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science series. He lives in Newtown, Connecticut.
