About the Author
Riley Carney is seventeen years old and she has been writing since she could hold a pencil. She wrote The Fire Stone, The Water Stone, and The Wind Stone when she was fifteen. Because she is so passionate about the written word, and because she believes teaching children to read breaks the cycle of poverty and exploitation of children worldwide, Riley is very involved with childhood literacy. When she was fourteen, she founded a nonprofit organization called Breaking the Chain with the goal of eliminating illiteracy for children. Riley has written all five books of The Reign of the Elements series, as well as a YA urban fantasy trilogy. Riley lives in Colorado with her family.
