One is wanted for a murder she didn't commit. The other is on the run because she knows too much. They are Dinah Laurel Lance and Ev Crawford - a.k.a. Black Canary and Starling - and joining them are the villainous Poison Ivy and the heroic Batgirl and together, as Gotham City's covert ops team, they're taking down the villains other heroes can't touch. They are the Birds of Prey.

About the Author
DUANE SWIERCZYNSKI is the author of "The Wheelman", " The Blonde", "Severance Package", and "Expiration Date", and writes for Marvel Comics. The Wheelman was nominated for the Gumshoe Award and was optioned for film. He lives in Philadelphia.

Jesus Saiz is another talented Spanish cartoonist who's making some noise in America. Following work for Dark Horse and DC's JLA-verse, he got a lot of attention for Midnight Mass (Vertigo) and he's now penciling the monthly 21 Down for Wildstorm, a Gen 13-Universe spin-off about a young man with the power to see how people die that echoes both Fight Club and Unbreakable. Saiz' work contrast realistic humans against moody, expressionist vistas - and the contrast makes both more effective.

Praise For Trouble in Mind

"The femme fatales of Gotham City get a nice introduction here along with a genuinely surprising final image that is well suited to the one-page format of the iPad."—The New York Times

"Duane Swierczynski inserts a load of suspense into his crime fiction, and he's bringing that as well as some good old-fashioned espionage to the sirens of Gotham City."—USA Today
