Description
When a savage creature known only as the Adversary conquered the fabled lands of legends and fairy tales, all of the infamous inhabitants of folklore were forced into exile. Disguised among the "mundys," their name for normal citizens of modern-day New York, these magical characters created their own secret society that they call Fabletown. From their exclusive luxury apartment buildings on Manhattan's Upper West Side, these creatures of legend must fight for their survival in the new world.
"Fables "is the winner of 14 Eisner Awards and is one of the most enduring Vertigo titles ever. Here, in this new, 10th anniversary edition, is a newly colored 8-page story from the "Fables "prose work "Peter & Max" "A Fables Novel," as well as a beautiful new cover from series artist Mark Buckingham.

About the Author
Bill Willingham is the critically-acclaimed, award-winning creator of several iconic comic book series, including the bestselling Fables franchise. In 2003, its first year of publication, Fables won the prestigious Eisner award for Best New Series, and has gone on to win fourteen Eisners to date. Bill lives in the wild and frosty woods of Minnesota.

Co-writer Bill Mumy is most recognized for his work as an actor, for roles in such favorites as Lost in Space, The Twilight Zone, and Babylon 5. As a musician, he has had success both as a solo performer and as a member of Barnes & Barnes. As a writer, he has worked in prose, in TV (as co-creator of Space Cases), and comic books. Co-writer Miguel Ferrer's acting has gained him attention through playing villains in such big screen works as RoboCop and Mulan and playing hard-working but beleaguered characters on the small screen in Crossing Jordan and Twin Peaks. With Mumy, he co-wrote the Marvel comics miniseries Comet Man and the graphic novel The Dreamwalker. Artist Steve Leialoha is not known for his acting, but they let him make comics anyway. In fact, they've given him multiple Eisner Awards for doing so. His work has been a strong presence ranging from the 1980s Spider-Woman to the recent hit Fables.
