About the Author
Sally Grindley lives in Cheltenham. She has been involved with children's books nearly all her working life, first as editor of the children's book club Books for Children, and for almost as long as a children's author. Sally's novel "Spilled Water "won a Smarties Gold Medal, as well as other regional awards, such as the Lincolnshire Young People's Award.http: //www.sallygrindley.co.uk/

Tony Ross was born in London in 1938. He has illustrated lots of books, including some by Paula Danziger, Michael Palin, and Roald Dahl. He also writes and illustrates his own books. He has worked as a cartoonist, graphic designer, and art director of an advertising agency. When he was a kid, he wanted to grow up to be a cowboy.
