About the Author
Nathaniel Lande is the author of ten books including the widely acclaimed novel, Cricket. He received stunning reviews for Dispatches from the Front (Oxford University Press) and the recent best seller for National Geographic Books, The 10 Best of Everything. He is a journalist, author, and filmmaker and was the creative force behind Time Incorporated during his tenure as Creative Director for the Magazine Group and Director of Time World News Service. He lives in New York City and Los Angeles.

Nathaniel Lande has logged more than 4 million miles and circled the globe a dozen times as the director of time World News Service. He was creative director for the time magazine group, a founding director of Time-Life Films, and executive producer for both CBS and NBC. He is the author of nine books, including the highly acclaimed "Dispatches from the Front: A History of the American War Correspondent."
Andrew Lande, wine and food expert, holds degrees from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Trinity College, Dublin. He is co-author with Nathaniel Lande of "The Cigar Connoisseur" and co-writer of the award-winning A&E Biography special, "Bob Hope: America's Entertainer."
