About the Author

Robert D. Hare, Ph.D., has conducted influential research on psychopathy for over twenty-five years. A professor emeritus of psychology at the University of British Columbia, Canada, and the developer of one of the world's most widely used tools for assessing psychopathy, Dr. Hare is the author of over one hundred professional articles and several books. The Society for the Scientific Study of Psychopathy named their lifetime achievement award after Robert, and in 2005, he was the first recipient of the R. D. Hare Lifetime Achievement Award. Paul Babiak, Ph.D., is an industrial and organizational psychologist and president of HRBackOffice, an executive coaching and consulting firm specializing in management development and succession planning. His work has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Harvard Business Review, and Fast Company. Paul lives in Dutchess County, New York, with his wife. Todd McLaren was involved in radio for more than twenty years in cities on both coasts, including Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. He left broadcasting for a full-time career in voice-overs, where he has been heard on more than 5,000 TV and radio commercials, as well as TV promos; narrations for documentaries on such networks as A&E, Discovery, and the History Channel; and films, including Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
