William H. Polonsky, PHD, CDE, is Assistant Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego. A licensed psychologist and certified diabetes educator, he is the author of Diabetes Burnout: What to Do When You Cant Take It Anymore. He is the founder of the Behavioral Diabetes Institute, the worlds first organization dedicated to addressing the unmet psychological needs of people with diabetes.

William H. Polonsky, Ph.D., C.D.E., is a clinical psychologist in private practice in San Diego. He has published and lectured widely on diabetes burnout and strategies for securing supportive environments for people with diabetes.
