About the Author
SLOANE CROSLEY is the author of two essay collections, How Did You Get This Number and the New York Times bestseller I Was Told There d Be Cake, which was shortlisted for the Thurber Prize, named one of s best books of the year, and optioned for a series by HBO. Previously, Crosley was a publicist at Vintage Books, a weekly columnist for The Independent (UK) and an adjunct professor in Columbia University s Master of Fine Arts program. Her essays have appeared in The Best American Nonrequired Reading and the Library of America s 50 Funniest American Writers According to Andy Borowitz. Crosley is a regular contributor to GQ, Elle and NPR. She has also written cover stories and features for Salon, Spin, Bon Appetit, Vogue, Esquire, Playboy and AFAR.
