Description
Violent Cases marks the beginning of many astonishing and award-winning collaborations between author Neil Gaiman and artist Dave McKean. It is now offered in a hardcover format with an expanded art section and introductions by Alan Moore, Paul Gravett, and Neil Gaiman
A narrator remembers his childhood encounters with an old osteopath who claims to have treated Al Capone. Gradually, the England of the 1960s and the Chicago of the 1920s begin to merge into a beautifully drawn and hauntingly written tale of memory and evil.

About the Author
Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) was born in Bombay, India, but raised in England until he returned to India in 1881 as a journalist and local newspaper editor. In 1907 Kipling became the first English writer to win the Nobel Prize for literature. A poet and prolific short story writer, he is best known as the author of The Jungle Book (1894), Kim (1902), and Just So Stories (1902).

Dave McKean is best known for his work on Neil Gaiman's Sandman series of graphic novels and for his CD covers for musicians from Tori Amos to Alice Cooper. He also illustrated Neil Gaiman's picture books The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish, The Wolves in the Walls, and Crazy Hair. He is a cult figure in the comic book world, and is also a photographer.
