Description
Poetry. This Green Integer volume collects three short books by Paul Snoek, one of the most controversial figures of modern Flemish literature. Often referred to in the mid '50s as a Flemish James Dean, known for his love of fast cars, wild living, and anti-establishment polemics, he went on to receive most of the major Belgian and Flemish literary prizes before his death in 1981 at the age of 47. The three important books Hercules, Richelieu, and Nostradamus represent a darker, ironic, and even absurd side of Snoek's writing. Translated from the Dutch and introduced by Kendall Dunkelberg.
