Description
This sequel to Naomi: The Strawberry Blonde of Pippu Town takes place three years later as Naomi, now 15, and her mother move to Hong Kong. Here, Naomi ventures outside of the sheltered world of a tourist and meets Chen -- an older Tai Chi instructor whose family was destroyed by the Cultural Revolution -- and Grace, a 16--year--old pregnant girl living in a shelter for orphans. Naomi herself is struggling to accept her mother's new boyfriend and, through her Chinese friends, learns the importance of patience, trust, and honesty.
