About the Author

Eric Lucas's writing and photography have appeared in the "Los Angeles Times", MSN.com, "Alaska Airlines Magazine", and "Western Journey". He is the author of several books, including "Victoria & Vancouver Island: A Great Destination, Michelin Guide to British Columbia, Michelin Must-See Vancouver, Hidden British Columbia", and "Seattle Survival Guide". Lucas and his wife live in Seattle.

Rockwell holds degrees from the University of Wyoming, the Virginia Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from George Washington University. After attending seminars at The Esalen Institute in California she founded The Orizon Institute in Washington, D.C. In the 1980's she studied Hindu philosophy in India.
