About the Author
Helen East is the author of "Singing Sack: 28 Song-Stories from Around the World," Eric Maddern is the author of "Earth Story" and "Curious Clownfish," Alan Marks is also the illustrator of "Spooks' Surprise" and "A Treasury of Nursery Rhymes,"


Maddern studied sociology and psychology at Sheffield University, then spent ten years travelling around the world. He now performs all over the country as a storyteller and folk singer, and he has built a roundhouse in the grounds of his home in Wales, where he holds storytelling events.

Alan Marks's first children's book, Storm, written by Kevin Crossley-Holland, won the Carnegie Medal. He has illustrated many other books, including Little Lost Bat and A Mother's journey. He lives in Kent, England.
