Shenandoah Joe Coffee Roasters was established as a small batch coffee roaster in 1993 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Currently offers over 25 varieties of specialty/boutique/gourmet coffee using only the finest Arabica coffee from all over the world.

Cafe Ah-Roma is a gathering place for people from all walks of life.
We focus on the needs of the communities we serve by presenting discussion groups,
poetry Sundays, open mic nights, and an eclectic assortment of performers.
We have a strong commitment to Fair Trade coffees and living wages.
We serve hand-crafted sandwiches on homemade breads, as well as vegetarian and vegan items.
Mary, Michael and I have spent the majority of our working lives in restaurants,
and have developed an understanding and appreciation for the hard work,
long hours and low pay that permeates this industry.
With that in mind, we have endeavored to create a cafe that celebrates the uniqueness and equality
of the staff and patrons alike, providing both with a sense of being and belonging.

The cafe not only serves a great variety of hot and iced drinks, but also food from local bakeries and restaurants, including Connie's Cakes, Vegan Treats, and Mama Nina's. We host live music most Friday nights, as well as multiple regular meetings for local groups. The gallery is the home of the Wired Artist Co-op, made up of 24 local artists who share in running the gallery.
