Acclaim Press publishes numerous police, fire department, and history books for those of military and historical associations and many cities and counties throughout Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas. County books are usually published in cooperation with the local county historical or genealogical society. They contain the county, community, business, church, school, club/organization, and especially family histories, each section accompanied by many historical pictures to document the foundation, growth and change of the community. These history books record the lineage of families along with treasured family photos. They are large, luxurious, coffee-table books, and many have already become collector’s items upon publication.

A small place and it's not fancy but the food is good and they have catering, take-out, dine-in and private parties. Large parties really should call ahead of course.

The Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers and Native Plants, a nonprofit organization, operates a retail nursery specializing in California native plants. It is the largest of its kind in Los Angeles County.

Open to the public year round, it offers more than 500 native plant species for sale, in addition to seeds of approximately 200 species. In their store, they sell gardening books, children's books, a small selection of clothing, garden tools, honey and other native plant and gardening-related products.
