Auntie's Bookstore is Top Shelf

Maybe I'm prejudiced (I work at Auntie's), but I think we're the best thing since strawberries and cream! Not only do we offer the best indie-supported books available, but we offer lots of local authors's titles, great events, book clubs for all tastes, and support for community events as well.

The annual event, Spokane is Reading, features Garth Stein this year. His Art of Racing in the Rain is a hit here as it is across the country, I'm sure. In the spring, Eastern Washington University and Auntie's (as well as a few other community businesses) offer a week-long event called GetLit. Featuring national authors, workshops and panel discussions, it's a MUST for anyone interested in literature.

All in all, a great place to work! Come see us when you're in Spokane. We'd love to show you around.

A favorite stop

We drive from Whidbey Island to Minnesota once in awhile, and when we do, we try fit in a stop at Auntie's Bookstore. I taught a little workshop there once, and it's an amazing place. See, western Washington -- there IS life on the other side of the mountains.

MONSTERS ON MACHINES Aug. 08 Publisher's Weekly Starred Review:
"Lund's rhyming story, about a team of ghoulish monsters who ride bulldozers and cranes, has just about everything a child could hope for..."
