one day...

I happened upon this place sort of by accident while doing laundry. It was around this time a year ago and I was looking for gifts for my niece and nephew. The door was actually locked as the store attendant was about to go and pick up her husband. Her adorable daugher was in tow and provided many laughs as she was like most toddlers, curious beyond their years. Anyway we discussed the lack of black oriented kids books in the store. The varying demographics within Hyattsville and the hopeful wishes we all had for the future of small bookstores like this one. I ended up with a couple of fuzzy wuzzy books for my neice and nephew and The last book by that young man from the dominican republic who's good friends with edwidge Danticat, and whose name escapes me but it's about a jersey family and it's one of the better psuedo fiction books I've read in the past 5 years. Overall a good store for an occasional visit just to see what you might find or if you know exactly what you want. Reccomended.
