An Enthusiastic, Independent Home for Books and Readers

I'm very fortunate to live in Huntington, NY for it's tall oaks, wonderful waterways, hilly geography, and parks. It is a thriving, resonant small city with many reasons to attract residents. Not the least, though, is being near to the largest independent bookstore in the NY Metropolitan area. Just driving past it's poster-plastered front windows and you'll get an immediate sense of the active, diverse, energetic events that take place here almost every day. Then there is the coffee bar and snack counter -- absolutely first rate in every way, even for finicky Long Islanders like me.

But where this store really shines is in it's service to the widest range of reader profiles imaginable. My own first novel is on the shelves here, along with anything else any reader is likely to want to read. There are always new books that will sing out to be added to your shopping bag. Best Sellers? You bet, at discount, too. Hard-to-find, mid-list book by an obscure publisher? No problems.

If it's in print they can get it for you. The friendly, engaged staff will make you feel like family from your first visit. Need an opinion? They can give you a slew of them on a huge variety of subjects. This store is owned, operated and staffed by people who read. In this day and age, when news of the demise of books and book sellers reaches everyone's In-box, blog or newsprint page, a visit to Book Revue will renew your faith in the written... and printed word.
