The Bookmark carries new and used hardcover and softcover books and pocketbooks, vintage postcards, collectible magazines, ephemera, CD's, DVD's, and 33 LP records. Each year the store receives 150,000 donated books, mostly from private libraries and estates of San Francisco's East Bay. We get new stock daily!

Our year-round pricing is typically 1/4th to 1/3rd of prices at other fine used bookstores. And with our many estate donations, book lovers find high-quality, unusual, delightful and engaging titles not found in any typical book store. A non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to the support of the Oakland Public library and now in our 15th year!
