The Last Synapsid

I hope you'll come to my book reading at the Book & Books in Coral Gables, Saturday March 7 at 11am. THE LAST SYNAPSID is a sci-fi adventure based on real science. Random House says it's for 8-12 year olds, and it is, but if I were me at age whatever, I'd dig this book. - Timothy Mason

Finally!

When I first moved to South Beach, I was excited to learn there was a branch of Books&Books right in my neighborhood. And then I got there, and discovered an incredibly tiny space stocked with a limited selection of books, attached to a (really tasty, admittedly) cafe. It should have been called Food&AFewBooks, really.

But! The store has moved into a larger space beside Design Within Reach, and if you haven't been yet, get there now. Multiple rooms, lined with shelves, devoted to nothing but books--books in easy-to-find, larger sections, no less. Books&Books is finally the bookstore I'd been hoping to find the first time around.

Added bonus: even more of an excuse to eat at the cafe.
