I have come to understand that I dislike the reality of Park Slope much less than the idea of it. An example is this splendid little indie, whose charm would surely melt the heart of the most jaded bookbuyer. There's an adorable cat, and a dog also I'm told, although I didn't see the dog (or the iguana, either). Anyway… terrific selection for such a small space, including a shelf-full of what would seem to be the entire NYRB line of paperback reissues, a carefully picked sampling of literary journals, and attractive but friendly hipster clerks, right out of central casting.
