The Cupcake Cafe has arguably the best espresso in NYC, and super-fresh cake doughnuts that are barely sweet but unbelievably delicious. It's right behind Port Authority, so the view isn't the best, but the huge marble slab of a front table and the other smaller configurations of chairs are all very welcoming, and it's worth the detour westward to get a truly great Americano.
