Soho's best-kept secret.

Housing Works Bookstore Cafe is a nonprofit bookstore that raises money to provide direct services for homeless New Yorkers living with AIDS/HIV. All of our inventory is donated and most of our staff are volunteers. We have a fully stocked cafe, wifi and thousands of books, music and movies for purchase. In addition, we host over 100 music, literary, and pop culture events per year. Just by stopping by the store and buying a cup of coffee you can help us fight AIDS, one book at a time.
