Almost totally bad ass.
In Other Words is, in a word, reallyreallyawesome.
They have a wide selection of feminist writing, including feminist history, theory, and analysis, fiction, queer perspectives, and much more.
There's a noticeable lack of radical feminist writings, though. Sad, considering radical feminists are whipping up some of the most exciting ideas out there.
My favorite thing about In Other Words isn't actually the books, but the events. They have frequent, well organized, genuinely compelling events. Author readings, film showings, poetry nights, workshops, music, free spanish classes, fat/queer friendly aerobics classes, and tons more.
