A wonderful independent store with over 30 years of history in Millerton, Oblong's store at Montgomery Row is a delight to visit.

Owner Dick Hermans and his friendly staff create and perpetuate the independent bookstore tradition focused on providing a broad selection in all areas and unmatched service. Whether you enjoy fiction, histories, cookbooks or books of local interest, you will feel right at home at Oblong. Throughout the year we present stimulating authors reading, discussing and signing books. Our children's book area is exciting and encourages a love of reading.

If you are a music lover, you will admire Oblong's music selection, which is comparable to any megastore. From major to independent labels, we have great sections of jazz, blues, folk, bluegrass, classical, and of course rock. The world of music unfolds at Oblong. Let our knowledgeable staff introduce you to something new. Our CD club is simple, no cards or paperwork, purchase ten CDs and then your 11th is free.
