The Arizona Book Publishers Association (http://azbookpub.com/) held its August meeting at this great book store. Very nice evening of conversation and learning. We listened to a talk by the manager about what bookstores -- especially independent bookstores -- are looking for from publishers and authors.

Located in picturesque Cave Creek, Arizona, the store itself is gorgeous. The stock includes the usual new stuff you'll find at the local Borders or B&N, but the rare books and especially the antique maps are a special treat. There's also a good local interest section that includes a good representation of Bob Boze Bell's stuff as well as other local writers and artists.
