My favorite bookstore
Quail Ridge is simply my favorite bookstore in the world. Now that I've moved away from Raleigh I'm going to miss it dearly. What makes it great is that it simply has the highest concentration of books that I'm interested in reading. Their stock is extremely intelligently maintained, and the strong focus on Southern literature and non-fiction is icing on the cake. I strongly recommend this shop.
My Favorite Bookshop
Quail Ridge is my all-time favorite bookshop in the entire world. An incredibly cozy and inviting atmosphere, a fantastic selection of titles, and a sales staff that is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and socially aware. Readings or book events almost every day of the week, and the owners, Nancy and Jim Olson, are tireless activists for community and involvement and open-minded political and social discourse. When I visit, it's my home away from home.
