Omaha has had full-service bookstore in this space since 1964. Village Book & Stationery until the late 90's when The Bookworm and Village Book merged to become The Bookworm in Countryside Village. One day a year The Bookworm morphs into The Berky Bookstore at the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting at the Qwest Convention Center. Thousands of Berkshire investors and admirers of Warren Buffet from all over the world descend on Omaha for this event.

The Bookworm also invites dogs of all shapes and sizes to shop the store-- many regulars know where the treats are kept. The cocker spanials of owners Phil and Beth Black are willing to share. Rescued pups from all over eastern Nebraska are often brought in to visit.
