One Visit Truly Changed my Life

The Corner Bookstore holds a special place in my life because one visit there was the beginning of a whole new journey for me. I walked in several years ago, tired, and with two grumpy kids. A salesperson recommended two fabulous books while I collapsed in a chair. When I left I felt like I made a friend in New York. I decided I would visit independent bookstores wherever I went and have conversations with the employees. Over the years I have had countless wonderful interactions in cities all across the nation and have returned home with great book finds. Now I write a blog about bookstores that I visit. More details of my visit can be found in my first post http://www.bookstorepeople.com/2008/07/collecting-bookstores/.
