Kate Birkel runs the quintessential mystery and needlework lover's bookstore, complete with resident cats of outstanding personalities. She'll order just about any book you might want, she hosts stitch n bit weekly get-togethers and has authors in for readings and signings whenever she can, and she's always good for a great conversation and recommending books, authors and local events. Her prices are quite reasonable, too. I love walking in the door!
