What a Great Bookstore!
I'd never been into the Milford Toadstool until this last Saturday, where we held a book signing for The Grey Ghost. Marcia Christensen, my illustrator drove down and joined me for the event, and I arrived in my kilt, packing my bagpipes and my 5-foot claymore sword.
Marcia and I had each visited area schools in the preceding weeks, and we had a terrific turnout! The kids (and many adults) were eager to have their pictures taken wielding my claymore, Marcia and I were signing both books and the Kids' Summer Indie Next brochures (as we're #3 on the list, it makes a nice keepsake!) and I'd periodically blast the store with bouts of piping.
The staff was wonderful and made us feel very welcome! Everyone had a great day - thank you, MToad!
