About Me:
I'm the manager of WORD in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Before that, I was assitant book buyer at Moravian Book Shop in Bethlehem, PA. I blog, though not as often as I intend to, at www.bookavore.com. I twitter (@bookavore) and run WORD's twitter (@wordbrooklyn). I will read almost anything (current exceptions: books that center around precocious children, fiction by white people about Asian women, YA books in which the main character has bad self-esteem but her best friend doesn't care what other people think, anything about affluent people living in New York City).

Melvin Bragg's 12 Books That Changed The World
a family of readers
Hi IndieBound Bookavore.
Saw the Wish List Title for books that changed the world.
Want to also recommend Melvin Bragg's 12 Books That Changed the World.
He stretches the genres by including the Magna Carta but if you can find this at the library or of course, tah-dah! an Independent Bookstore, I hope you'll agree it's a fine read.
